About the iMentor Partnership
iMentor began its partnership with Queens Vocational in the last half of the 2006-07 school year with 35 students in one advisory class. Because of the meaningful relationships created and the positive impact observed, Principal Denise Vittor and Assistant Principal Jeanette Newman encouraged and assisted iMentor’s expansion. In our third year of partnership, we are proud to now serve in four classes!
Teachers and administration at Queens Vocational appreciate the individualized, real-world interaction with working adults that iMentor provides for their students. All of the iMentor students are in the School of Entrepreneurial Studies (SES). The students in SES are studying business or cosmetology as their majors.
