About the iMentor Partnership

After a fantastic first year of partnership, iMentor has expanded its reach at International Prospect Heights, matching the entire senior class and increasing the number of pairs from 17 to 67! Many of last year’s pairs have extended their relationship for another full year.

For 2007-08, iMentor is being held during the 12th grade Sustained Silent Reading class, a reading lab that works in conjunction with the students’ English class to encourage and improve English language skills.  Students are assigned a book to read during this class; each student then writes a progress report to summarize the chapter they read.  Students also maintain a vocabulary log as well to write down any unfamiliar words or phrases.

iMentor is glad to support the efforts of these students as they actively improve their English language skills by providing a real world opportunity to communicate with native speaking adults. We are especially proud to be working in conjunction with the administration as they work to graduate the first class of seniors from IHSPH in June 2008!
