About the iMentor Partnership

iMentor is in its fourth year of partnership with International High School at Prospect Heights and serves the entire senior class! Every year, iMentor classes are integrated into the 12th grade Internship Program in which all students participate in an internship in their career field of choice during the spring semester. This year’s prompts have been carefully selected to mirror the work being done in the college advisory class. Every student has an advisor they meet with weekly to work on iMentor curriculum, college prep and professional development materials. Through a combination of college advisory, iMentor prompts, and the help of their mentors’ rich experience, insight, and support, mentees will explore and refine their career options and interests, identify their many talents and skills, and develop cover letters and resumes. Through a variety of exciting college and career themed events, students will improve their communication, interviewing and networking skills.

While developing the skills and materials to apply for colleges and seek out their dream careers, students also improve their ability to articulate themselves and their talents to a wide range of audiences while increasing their  spoken and written English Language proficiency.
