About the iMentor Partnership

iMentor is proud to announce a new partnership with the Urban Assembly School of Business for Young Women (UA BYW). To complement and enhance UA BYW’s mission to provide high quality, college-preparatory education to young women of diverse backgrounds in a nurturing and supportive environment, we led a targeted recruitment drive with several of our corporate partners to find 90 female mentors able to make a two year commitment to these mentees. Thanks to the dedication of our corporate partners and enthusiastic female volunteers, we easily met our need and now are fortunate to have women from a wide array of organizations, including: 100 Women in Hedge Funds, Conde Nast, Goldman Sachs, Ernst and Young, JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers, Marc Ecko Enterprises, Mayor Bloomberg’s Office, UBS, and more.

For the next two years, from 11th grade through high school graduation, these mentors will help prepare young women to navigate the challenges of high school and college applications, learn and practice workplace skills necessary to ensure success in competitive fields, and to grow intellectually and emotionally by exploring NYC’s vast offerings through mentor-mentee email curriculum and event attendances.

UA BYW is the second of four Urban Assembly high schools that iMentor is partnering with this year. To learn more about Urban Assembly, a non-profit organization that creates and manages a community of New York City Public Schools dedicated to preparing students from under-resourced neighborhoods for success in four-year colleges, please visit: http://www.urbanassembly.org/
