About the iMentor Partnership

iMentor works with the entire sophomore class of this new small school that opened its doors in fall 2007. iMentor is thrilled to be working with a school focused on engaging students in a commitment to social activism and community service, and is proud to bring mentors to their first class of high school students. Together, mentor-mentor pairs will explore their commitment to public service as well as developing their college and career skills.

Crystal Simmons, the founder and principal of the school, was so committed to providing this program to her students that she designed a class specifically for iMentor and serves as the classroom teacher. In addition to gaining an invaluable mentor-mentee relationship, the college-bound students improve their writing, reading, communication, and networking skills in preparation for academic and future career success.
