Suzanne Chipkin
Suzanne comes to iMentor with a background in youth development, counseling, and relationship building. She graduated magna cum laude with a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies from Barnard College and in Literature from the Jewish Theological Seminary. Prior to joining iMentor, Suzanne worked at the Midtown Community Court, assisting with job training services and curriculum development for youth and ex-offenders. Previously, she served as a counselor for a crisis hotline and also interned at the Vera Institute of Justice and Covenant House International. Most recently, Suzanne worked as a Program Coordinator at iMentor, providing individualized pair support at five different partner schools across New York City. After two years on the Program Team, Suzanne is thrilled to be joining the Development Team. She has been lucky to have had many mentors positively impact her life, and she strongly believes in the power of mentoring to both nurture and challenge youth.
