Stan Melamed
Stan comes originally from the far off land of Leningrad (Saint Petersburg). It was a long swim until he reached the shores of New York in 1995 and made it his home. He has been studying computers since 1997 when he got his hands on his first computer (“his” meaning “his mother’s”). He graduated from Brooklyn College with a BA in Philosophy with a concentration in Computer Science. After graduating he pursued a career in computers. He worked for five years as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Gallery Systems on a collection management system called ‘The Museum System’ until coming to iMentor last August on a part time basis. Stan recently joined iMentor on a full-time basis. He hopes to help the iMi software make it easier for mentoring pairs to achieve success (the better tools you have at your disposal, the better you can build something). His outside pursuits include Science Fiction, Photography, Philosophy, and Efficient Systems.
