Romana Ryals

Romana comes to iMentor from various out-of-school time organizations, most recently working with D.C. public schools to help prepare for afterschool programming. Previously, Romana worked with other youth-centered organizations such as The Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula, Higher Achievement, and SPARK as an out-of-school time facilitator and mentor. Her involvement with programs like these have strengthened Romana’s beliefs in the abilities of innovative youth programs that go above and beyond the traditional school day. Romana is excited about the work of iMentor and its surrounding mentor, mentee, and school communities because she feels that with the right guidance, encouragement, and availability of options all youth can succeed.
