Nicole Tommasini
Nicole comes to iMentor from the higher education field, in which she has had several years of experience developing and managing service-based scholarship programs and supporting and training college students to become civic leaders in their communities through service and advocacy. After graduating from the University at Albany with a B.A. in Sociology, Nicole was part of the first cohort of Siena College VISTA Fellows and was charged with starting a Bonner Leader program at the college. Through this experience, Nicole’s passion for social justice and equality became focused on youth development and education, specifically access to higher education. Nicole went on to coordinate the Presidential Service Corps/ Bonner Leader Program at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania and she completed her MSW while there. Nicole is excited to join iMentor and see firsthand the way structured and supported mentoring relationships effect the development of NYC youth and contributes to their long-term educational and vocational success.
