Lisa LoFaso

Lisa LoFaso is thrilled to be a new Program Coordinator at iMentor! After graduating summa cum laude from Manhattan College with a B.A. in Sociology and Philosophy in 2008, Lisa moved to Boston to pursue her master’s degree in social work at Boston University. During that time, she worked at Steps to Success, an academic support and college preparation program for low-income teenagers in Brookline, MA., and  ran their youth employment program for two summers. Additionally, she supervised a crew of youth community organizers in Chelsea, MA.  Working with these great youth really sparked a sustainable passion, and Lisa plans on focusing her social work practice in youth development, particularly on issues of college access. In addition to working with youth, Lisa loves playing and watching sports (especially the NY Mets and NY Giants), reading, cooking, Netflix, riding her bike, and playing outside. She also plays violin in the Manhattan College Orchestra, which she founded as an undergraduate in 2005. She is very excited to be back in NYC, and is looking forward to kick-starting her career here at iMentor!
