Lindy Emerson

Lindy Emerson comes to iMentor with experience in mentoring, student development and event planning. She is a graduate of Rochester College in Rochester Hills Michigan, which gave her the opportunity to spend three summers in East Africa working with youth and community development organizations in Kenya and Uganda. She came to New York to work with immigrant and refugee populations teaching conversational English. She then had the privilege to work with the United Nations Development Programme, where she gained experience in the international environmental sector with large scale event planning.  Working at Fordham University, she was able to connect her dedication to student development with local community initiatives.  During her time as a Program Coordinator at iMentor she gained rich experience in providing individualized pair support for mentors and mentees at a South Bronx school. She is taking these experiences to Miami, Florida where she is providing on the ground support to the MDC Single Stop Mentoring Program as a National Partnership Specialist.  She is thrilled to represent iMentor in this exciting new partnership.
