Kate Sweetland-Lambird

Kate comes to iMentor with experience in non-profit organizations, volunteer management, and youth development. During her time at Gettysburg College, Kate worked as a program coordinator with the Center for Public Service where she deepened her understanding of the underlying systemic issues that have made social justice work necessary. She has a strong passion for social justice and for youth in particular to know their intrinsic value and potential. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Latin American studies/ Spanish, Kate served as an AmeriCorps volunteer in Seattle, Washington, where she worked with immigrant and refugee children in an afterschool enrichment program. As a mentor herself to a 13 year old girl, Kate knows firsthand the powerful impact mentoring can have on the mentee as well as the mentor. Kate is excited to be a part of the mentor-mentee relationship development for many others through her role as a Program Coordinator at iMentor.
