Hamna Mela
Hamna joins the iMentor team as a recent graduate of New York University, where she graduated as class marshal with a B.A. in environmental studies and urban studies. Over the past five years, Hamna has worked on various environmental and social issues in the non-profit and government sectors, including public health, food policy, and clean energy. Prior to joining iMentor, Hamna managed the Sustainable Education Initiative for Scholars for Students to provide need-based scholarships to students for college preparation services. She has also worked as an environmental advocate, leading campaigns to organize civic participation around environmental and social justice issues. When she is not working, Hamna enjoys cooking, rock-climbing, kick-boxing and exploring the city. Hamna is excited to bring her rewarding experiences working with volunteer groups, particularly high school volunteers, to the Program Coordinator position.
