Duyen is excited to join iMentor and looks forward to contributing to iMentor’s ambitious and innovative initiatives. With a background in education, program development, volunteer management, and non-profit fundraising, Duyen hopes to garner corporate and community interest to support iMentor’s efforts. While earning her B.A. at UCLA in English Literature, Duyen worked as a Teaching Assistant at the UCLA Lab School and interned at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. Most recently, she was the Star Walker Coordinator at AIDS Walk New York & Los Angeles—the nation’s first and largest AIDS walk-a-thon—and was responsible for establishing and building relationships with AIDS Walk’s highest individual fundraisers who account for $4.9 million of 2011 AIDS Walk’s $9.2 million fundraising total. She hails from Irvine, California—best known for being the safest city in America—and is excited to build a life for herself in New York.
