Alexander James
Alexander James comes to iMentor directly from the NYC Department of Education, where he taught English for two years at Renaissance H.S. in the Bronx. With an interest in the arts, he has assisted in a variety of student performances and after-school activities. He received his B.A. in English and Film from Connecticut College. As a New York City Teaching Fellow he earned a Master's degree in Education with a focus in Middle/High School English education from Lehman College. Over the past two years he has examined the relevance and methods of successfully encouraging critical thinking in the English classroom. Prior to teaching, he worked as a videographer and editor for a local TV news station in New Jersey.
