Alex Miklos

Alex comes to iMentor excited to continue working in the non-profit sector. He recently completed a year of service with Public Allies, an AmeriCorps program focused on professional development, civic engagement, and empowering non-profit organizations. He worked at United Way of Coastal Fairfield County in Bridgeport, Connecticut as a program coordinator for Wi-mentor, an iMentor Interactive (iMi) program that mirrors the work done at iMentor NYC. He also worked on a city-wide initiative to empower Bridgeport youth to beautify their city, resulting in almost 300 youth participating to create and install city murals and community gardens. Alex graduated from University of New Hampshire (UNH) with a B.A. in philosophy and spent three years as an editor for UNH’s undergraduate research journal. Hoping that it will become an annual trend, Alex spent two weeks this summer in Feira Nova, Brazil, with Habitat for Humanity, where he and his teammates constructed three homes for families in need of adequate housing.
