Our Impact
Each year, iMentor pairs thousands of youth from underserved communities in New York City and around the country in multi-year, one-to-one matches with college-educated mentors. iMentor developed its unique research-based and technology-enabled mentoring model to ensure more students graduate high school college-ready and succeed in college.
Nationally, iMentor partners with non-profits and schools to provide them with everything they need to run a high quality mentoring program in the iMentor model.

Evaluation
Public/Private Ventures (2011-2018)
Starting in the fall of 2011, iMentor will begin a 2,000-participant, six-year study of its mentoring model with Public/Private Ventures (P/PV), an industry-leading evaluation firm. This evaluation will be one of the largest and most comprehensive studies ever published on school-based mentoring, and seeks to increase the quality and quantity of evidence around iMentor's programmatic impact on participants.
Additional Evaluation (2007-2008)
Since its inception, iMentor has been conducting internal and external evaluations. In an effort to update and strengthen existing evaluation instruments, iMentor contracted with Kim Sabo Consulting (KSC) in 2007. KSC's analysis found that participation in iMentor's program had a statistically significant impact on:
- Standardized test scores
- English grades
- School attendance
Honors

Run out of the Corporation for National and Community Service, SIF is designed to identify and expand effective solutions to some of the nation's most critical social challenges.
- iMentor was honored at a White House reception during National Mentoring Month (January) 2010.
