2013 Online Donor Drive
The iMentor Online Donor Drive team is a dedicated group of mentors and supporters who join forces to fundraise for iMentor. The proceeds of this annual campaign help fund thousands of mentoring relationships that are empowering students in low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions. Every year during the campaign, our mentors create individual fundraising pages on Crowdrise.com and ask their friends, family, and coworkers to give to this cause that means so much to them.
Mentors can join the 2013 fundraising effort by creating your own page as part of their mentee's school team. Just click the blue "Create your Fundraiser button, which gives you the chance to share your story and encourage your network to support iMentor. And anyone can support the campaign by donating to one of our school teams.
This year, funds raised will help support the mentoring matches of 2,400 students in New York City and 2,000 more across the country. It costs iMentor $1,000 to provide one mentor-mentee pair with access to iMentor’s proven college success curriculum and resources. Here is what your support—whether you give $10 or $1,000—can do for our mentees:
- $25: Can provide one mentee free access to iMentor events
- $50: Can provide one mentee with an iMentor Interactive e-mail account to communicate with their mentor
- $100: Can supply one mentee with a year’s access to monthly career and college skills events
- $500: Can sponsor a new mentee for an entire year
- $1,000: Can sponsor a new mentor-mentee pair for an entire year
Last year, our amazing mentors raised more than $60,000 from more than 800 donors through the Online Donor Drive. Mentors motivated their networks to give to iMentor in creative ways, such as offering to match gifts made to their Crowdrise pages and leveraging their personal social media pages to spread the word.
