iMentor Skills for Career Advancement (SCA) Workshop Series
SESSION #1 MATERIALS
Objective: This session will be an introduction to the process of thinking about your career and finding jobs. We will be talking about how to identify and research your career areas of interest, with a focus on identifying and obtaining summer employment opportunities. You will leave the session with a clear understanding of the following:
- The steps involved in identifying and obtaining jobs
- Your work preferences and the skills you can offer potential employers
- How to research job and career information and make informed choices
You will also create an Action Plan to establish a timeline for accomplishing the steps you will need to take in order to get a job or internship this summer.
