What makes mentors at the High School for Violin and Dance our Mentors of the Month?

They are UNDERSTANDING, PATIENT, AND RESILIENT.

Mentoring, although impactful, is no easy task. No one knows this more than our mentors at the High School for Violin and Dance (HSVD). Despite significant logistical challenges at HSVD, our mentors never gave up. Instead, these mentors honored their commitment to support their mentees by consistently e-mailing, calling, and meeting at events – the power of which was not lost on our students.

Our mentor training focuses on both the rewarding and challenging reality of mentoring a teenager. To highlight the impact of effective mentoring, we share examples of mentors that have gone above and beyond. In future trainings, HSVD mentors will certainly be included in that conversation as models of patience and persistence.

iMentor says thank you to  each of these impressive mentors by making them our March  Mentors of the Month.
