What makes Mark our mentor of the month? Mark is SUPPORTIVE

Mark is extremely supportive of Hamdan and uses any possible opportunity to help him achieve his goals. One example is when Mark worked with Hamdan's college counselor to set-up a tour for Hamdan and his friends at his top college choice: CUNY John Jay.

Hamdan says...

"Hey Mark, I just writing about the earthquake that have in Haiti and affect our community and friend that we know in school. It really hurts me because these people lost children and family because the earthquake. My advice or what i can say to them is this how is life and you don't know what happen to you until you face it. Please give me more advice that i can say to make them feel better."

Mark says...

“It is so sad. The only way to comfort friends that have lost loved ones or have not been able to reach loved ones is to be there with your friends…There is nothing that you can do to make things right except to show that you care. Others can donate money to relief funds, but there is nothing like the personal touch that you can give.”
