What makes Dominique our mentor of the month? Dominique is SUPPORTIVE

In the third year of their match, Dominique has gone above and beyond in helping her mentee, Tysha, to navigate the complicated transition out of high school and to figure out her next steps. Since Tysha graduated from the Bronx Academy of Letters last June, Dominique has helped her locate job and internship resources, worked with her to trouble-shoot unexpected challenges in the college and financial aid application processes, and provided ongoing personal support and encouragement. Now that Tysha is no longer enrolled in an iMentor class at school, Dominique takes the initiative to stay in touch with her at least once a week through phone calls and text messages. She remains a strong, consistent source of support during this crucial moment in her mentee’s life.
