About the Member

Groundwork is based in East New York, an under-resourced community in eastern Brooklyn. The organization’s mission is to support young people living in high poverty urban communities as they develop their strengths, skills, talents and competencies through effective experiential learning and work programs.

About the Partnership

Groundwork is using iMentor Interactive to take its youth mentoring program to the next level. High school students in East New York will now be able to connect with college students and professionals from around the city to learn more about college and career opportunities via secure email correspondence. This correspondence will also be supported through the use of topical writing prompts. Furthermore, mentors and mentees will meet in-person for social outings and college tours, scheduled through iMi’s shared calendaring system.
