About the Member

Active Compassion Transforms is a non-profit organization dedicated to positively influencing the lives of South African youth. Through e-mentoring, the organization aspires to form relationships that build hope and confidence in oftentimes disadvantaged high school students. Its efforts will culminate in a week-long sponsored trip for mentees to meet their mentors in New York City.

About the Partnership

Active Compassion Transforms (ACT) is launching its inaugural mentoring program using iMentor Interactive. Students at the Hope School in Cape Town, South Africa will email with volunteers in the New York City area, drawing upon writing prompts to structure their conversations. ACT staff will monitor and track this usage via iMi’s built-in reporting tools. And the mentees who meet program expectations for email frequency will be invited to travel to New York for in-person meetings with their mentors, coordinated via iMi’s calendar system.
