iMi exponentially expands the possibilities for youth-mentoring by:

• Allowing organizations to add volunteer mentors to enchance programming
• Deepening mentor-mentee relationships using iMi’s curriculum, email accounts and other technology tools
• Increasing the length of mentor-mentee matches by allowing pairs to continue communicating even after students go to college / graduate from program
• Engaging youth by capitalizing on the popularity of social networks while developing technological literacy
• Allowing member organizations and program staff to learn from one another, creating a national conversation around the development of innovative uses and best practices in integrating technology with mentoring and youth development
