Member Organizations

In the Fall of 2007, iMentor began enrolling organizations onto the iMentor Interactive (iMi) platform, providing each organization with its own safe and secure online social network specifically designed for mentoring. Each organization that uses the platform in its programming is considered a "member" of the iMentor Interactive community. See below for iMi's founding members. Click on each member's name for a partnership profile.

Friends of the Children

Location: New York City

Member Since: June 2008

Friends of the Children NY takes children who are beginning to tumble through a cycle of poorly performing schools, decaying neighborhoods and broken families and guides them to another track by pairing them with a caring, committed adult Friend. Our mission is to change the destinies of NYC's most at risk youth ... one child at a time. We do this by pairing each child with a full-time paid professional, whom we call a Friend, from kindergarten through high school graduation. We intervene early enough to make a difference and stay long enough to assure success. Through iMi and our new mentoring program, it is our hope to engage volunteers in the lives of the Children we serve as a way of introducing one additional adult role model into the Child's life.
