About the Member
YWCA Metro St. Louis, an association of women from diverse backgrounds and faiths, is committed to strengthening our community through the social and economic empowerment of women, the development of youth and the elimination of racism. YWCA Metro St. Louis was established in 1905 to address the housing and job training needs of rural women who had come to St. Louis to work at the World's Fair. YWCA Metro St. Louis is an autonomous, accredited affiliate of the YWCA USA and also became a United Way member affiliate in 1923.

About the Partnership
The YWCA plans to engage professional women from their Academy of Leaders to serve as mentors to young women in their programs. YW-Teens will enhance its current programming by incorporating iMentor Interactive to provide young women additional guidance and support with academic, career and life choices. Program expansion will primarily be focused on the Youth Leadership Academy. The YWCA Metro St. Louis ultimately wants girls to graduate from high school, attend college, and have choices that allow them to live up to their potential.
