Volunteers for Youth Justice (VYJ) serves children in crisis whom are affiliated with the juvenile court system. GEMS and GENTS MENTORING is a program of VYJ that matches young women and men with adult mentors, who assist with their educational, relational, and emotional development. GEMS & GENTS MENTORING brings adults and youth together to investigate their identity, self-worth, and integrity through dialogue, online communication, and recreational activities.

Volunteers for Youth Justice has partnered with iMentor to help jumpstart its GEMS & GENTS mentoring programs with the addition of an e-mentoring component.

Using iMentor Interactive, VYJ’s mentors and mentees will now benefit from safe and secure email communication and shared calendaring. In addition, VYJ’s staff will have access to all participant data in a single database, along with iMentor Interactive’s matching algorithm to bring those participants together in powerful mentoring relationships.
