Stand and Deliver MCAS Mentoring is a one-on-one mentoring program founded to help students in Lawrence, MA pass the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) exam required for high school graduation in the State of Massachusetts. Its mission is to help the district bring pass rates in the Lawrence Public Schools up to the pass rates of the top schools in the state. The one-on-one mentoring process will also increase the level of understanding across cultures and generations.

Stand and Deliver is raising test scores in Lawrence, MA through the use of an innovative e-mentoring program. Volunteers from local companies will pair with students from the Lawrence Public Schools to help them prepare for the MCAS via iMi’s email system and regular in-person meetings. In addition to supporting Lawrence’s young people, mentors will learn about the challenges facing this heavily-immigrant community and how they can best serve it.
