The Mission of the Mayor's Youth Services Bureau is to develop caring, responsible, and successful young people through the Mayor's Youth Leadership council, Education Through Adventure, the Juvenile Review Board, the Stamford Mentoring Partnership, and collaboration among Stamford's youth-serving organizations.
Through their programs, they focus on developing leadership skills, self-confidence, and life skills in our young people. In addition, they provide opportunities for adults, parents, youth workers, teachers and mentors to improve their communication, risk & courage, and team building skills. Stamford Mentoring Partnership, S.T.A.M.P.,is a program of the Mayor’s Youth Services Bureau and was established in the fall of 2005. It is a collaborative of six community based organizations in Stamford, CT. The partners have worked collaboratively to create a mentoring program to benefit all the youth served within these organizations, ages five to eighteen. S.T.A.M.P’s vision is to provide a mentor to every young person in Stamford who wants one. |
