The Mentoring Partnership of Long Island's mission is to enable every child on Long Island with need to be paired with a caring adult mentor in a quality, structured mentoring program. Specifically, they:

• Help start mentoring programs
• Assist in recruiting and training mentoring volunteers
• Provide technical assistance to ongoing mentoring programs
• Increase public awareness

The Mentoring Partnership of Long Island has teamed up with iMentor to bring e-mentoring capabilities to many of its member organizations. The Uniondale School District, the Dowling College GEAR UP Program, and the Si Se Puede Mentoring Group will be among the first beneficiaries of iMentor Interactive’s advanced technology.

Using iMentor Interactive, these existing mentoring programs will add safe and secure email communication, shared calendaring, and sophisticated reporting tools to their work. In addition, the Mentoring Partnership’s members will benefit from customized mentoring websites and applications.
