FLY is a nonprofit organization making a difference East of the Anacostia River by investing in the future of Barry Farm youth. FLY's success is a result of a unique, long-term, youth-led approach that matches students beginning in elementary school through high school with individual volunteer tutors and mentors.

FLY has partnered with iMentor Interactive to bring e-mentoring to the young people it serves in the Southeast section of Washington, DC. They’re matched with college students from American University and professionals from the DC community, and will communicate with their mentors weekly using iMi’s built-in writing prompts. Ultimately, FLY hopes their mentees will gain self-confidence and take leadership roles in their community, based on the strong relationships they’ve developed with their mentors in-person and online.
