Through the power of mentoring, Discoveries Unlimited will ignite and foster the passion for study of and employment in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) in our youth. By creating partnerships between K-12 students, institutions of higher education and STEM professionals, the organization will sustain student interest and stimulate economic development.

Discoveries Unlimited facilitates the mentoring process by pairing mentors with students on the iMentor Interactive platform. A semester-long pilot program will launch in January 2010, focused on 6th grade female students who have an interest in a STEM field. In addition to weekly iMi emails focused on career and educational mentoring, each mentor and mentee will be encouraged to connect via the iMi calendar. In-person events will include company tours, job shadowing, attending science/technology events or industry networking meetings, participating in team service projects, and college visits.
