About the Member
The mission of the Boston Scholars Program is to “open doors through educational opportunity." They achieve their mission through a threefold process. First, they grant scholarships to allow deserving Boston-area low-income high school students, who have demonstrated a pressing financial need, to attend tuition-based high schools. Second, the Boston Scholars Program pairs their scholars with mentors from the Boston professional community who share academic, personal, and professional interests with their scholars to guide them through their high school career and into college. Thirdly, through our supplemental services that include tutoring, leadership opportunities and college counseling, we assist Mentors and Scholars to work together so our Scholars feel supported as they pursue academic and leadership goals that once seemed impossible.

About the Partnership
In 2008, Boston Scholars was fortunate to see all of its students in the first class graduate from the high schools where they were placed. Secondly, they went on to college at a rate of 100%. One of the key goals of using iMentor Interactive is to maintain a level of stability in the access and support that they get in their one-on-one mentoring relationships while they embark on their new lives as college undergraduates. Boston Scholars’ goal is to make them all first generation college graduates.
