I'm sending you this information about iMentor, an innovative youth mentoring organization that you might like to become a part of!

iMentor is a youth-mentoring organization that is changing the face of New York City mentoring. We make it possible for even the busiest NYC professionals to volunteer as mentors by providing a flexible and meaningful way to work with high school students from underserved communities in New York City. iMentor matches adult volunteers one-on-one with students based on shared career or personal interests. Mentors and mentees correspond weekly via email, utilizing iMentor's curriculum and writing prompts. Pairs also meet in person at iMentor-hosted events such as Mets' games, MoMA tours and theatre tickets. As this program year comes to a close, we are gearing up to recruit 800 mentors for the 2006-07 school year. We need YOU!

I encourage you to check out iMentor and help make a difference in the lives of NYC's youth! To find out more about becoming a mentor, please visit the iMentor website:
