The 2006 Urban Hero Awards iMentor's Annual Fundraiser
Thanks to everyone who attended the 2006 Urban Hero Awards, iMentor's annual fundraising event! Thanks in large part to iMentor's corporate sponsors and The Catalog for Giving, this event raised over $60,000 for iMentor's programming and served as a fantastic spotlight for the iMentor program and its recent accomplishments. If you missed the event but would still like to support iMentor, click HERE to learn about all of the different ways to help. About The Event In 2005, iMentor was selected to become a beneficiary of The Catalog for Giving. For more than a decade, The Catalog for Giving has highlighted the impact of its 10 grantees by hosting its annual Urban Heroes Award Benefit. The Benefit is designed to recognize each organization by showcasing the youth who best exemplify their work. The Catalog takes great care in screening and selecting its beneficiaries to ensure that its donors are supporting the very best non-profit youth development programs in New York City.
This moving event took place at Chelsea Piers, with a spectacular view of the Hudson River as a backdrop. iMentor was joined by over 600 people to raise money and opportunities for hundreds of children and teens in New York City who need it the most.
Thanks to the generosity of our corporate partners, iMentor was able to raise $60,000 in table sponsorships. Each corporate sponsor was able to honor the dedication and hardwork of their employees who volunteer with iMentor.
