The role of the Urban Heroes Event Committee is to raise $100,000 in funding and expand iMentor's network of supporters through the The Urban Heroes Award Benefit, at Chelsea Piers in October.

Becoming an Event Committee Member

To become a member of the 2006 Event Committee, individuals must:

• Attend an introductory meeting with iMentor’s Director of Development and Operations (in-person or via phone)

• Attend a planning session hosted by Board member Bill Richards (July-August)

• Make a give/get fundraising commitment (details below)

Fundraising Commitment Levels

Through table sales and donations, each individual on the Event Committee makes a commitment to give or get donations at a level they feel is right for them. Since 100% of table sales go directly toward supporting iMentor's programming, the 2006 Event Committee will focus on soliciting donations for tables.

Each member of the committee chooses from the following give or get levels:

• SPONSOR ($5,000)
  • Includes seating for ten and a half page black & white ad

• PATRON ($10,000)
  • Includes special seating for ten and full page black & white ad

• BENEFACTOR ($25,000)
  • Includes priority seating for ten and full page silver ad

• VISIONARY ($50,000)
  • Includes prime seating for ten and full page Gold ad

• PRESENTING HERO SPONSOR ($100,000)
  • Includes naming rights, premier seating for twenty and back cover of journal

After the Event-Committee Team Thank You

After the event, iMentor and members of the Board of Directors will host a reception for all members of the 2006 Event Committee. (More Details Coming Soon).

Additionally:

• iMentor will assist you in acknowledging your guests and donors.

• You will receive complimentary tickets to iMentor’s 2007 Board Cocktail Party (Spring '07).

• iMentor will recognize you (and/or your company) on its website and in publications including the 2007 Newsletter & Annual Report.

• All members are invited to get involved further with iMentor by becoming a volunteer mentor or applying to become a member of the Young Executive Board.
