- During the “Career Mapping” event, pairs revisit recent conversations about motivation to ultimately create a 10th grade career action plan to help mentees successfully begin navigating their professional path.

- This event will help mentees create a resume they can be proud of, and then practice talking through it with their mentors.

- During this event mentees will use their mentors as a critical resource in figuring out their own reasons for going to college and pursuing a career that fits their interests.

2/16/2012 - College Application Preview
- During this event pairs familiarize themselves with the different pieces of the college application. Mentors will answers any questions that mentees have about the various components, since this will be their first introduction to many of them.

- During the “Create Team Mentee” event, pairs identify members of the mentee’s team and discuss how mentees will use their self-advocacy skills to leverage their team for support.

- During the “Build the Summer Portfolio” event, pairs create a portfolio of potential summer leadership opportunities for mentee to pursue. Mentees and mentors then set goals together to pursue the summer opportunities identified.

- During the “Study for Something” event, the goal will be to bolster mentee confidence in their study skill and test taking strategies by applying different study skills techniques for an upcoming assignment the mentee is working on.
