Judy and Sharmise have connected over their shared experiences of being a student and striving for success in the classroom.  Judy and Sharmise share strategies for academic success with one another – and Judy always identifies and highlights Sharmise’s strongest skills!

Sharmise says...

“My vision for my future success is to graduate from high school in 2013, earn a full scholarship and move on to college. My vision statement would be to pass all your classes, and turn all your work in on time. Additionally, don't let anyone stop you from becoming successful…I think that it's great that we are talking about vision statements now, rather than the last minute… I'm not a last minute person. I also help the other kids in school. I inspired some of them to study.”

Judy says...

“I truly admire your focus and dedication…One thing that stood out to me in our email this week was your comments about inspiring your classmates to study hard and also that you don't worry about what other people say. I think that is something that people usually don't understand till much later in life. It's important to understand 1) that what they do can positively influence others and 2) worrying about what other people might think can really hold you back in life.”
