What make Emilie our mentor of the month? Emilie is CARING
When we see Emilie engaged in conversation with Angela, it almost always seems like we’re watching two sisters who share everything with one another. Since being matched two years ago the two continue to email consistently (both at 100% during this year) and Emilie continues demonstrating to Angela that she will always care about her. From being present at graduation to providing a very present and listening ear every time Angela needs to talk about her ambitions, her life, and her future plans, Emilie has been there. It truly has been a rewarding experience to watch just how much Emilie has continued to care for Angela as she’s grown into the young adult she has aspired to be. As Angela enters college this fall at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the two enter the third year of their match, it is clear that Angela still sees Emilie as a source of care and support that will remain well beyond her high school career.

It was a great surprise that you actually came to the graduation. I didn't know you were coming, and thanks for the Year Book, I appreciated you thought of me.

You thought I wouldn't come to see you graduate? Are you crazy?! haha I was so excited about it - I told everyone at work about it and they all told me to send you their congratulations, too!
