Mentor-Mentee Pairs Celebrate 10 Years of History
At our 10th Anniversary Gala, iMentor celebrated 10 years of inspiring history. No celebration would have been complete without our mentor-mentee pairs, who are a vital part of this history.
iMentor invited 33 mentees and their mentors to the Gala. Mentor-mentee pairs dressed up for the event and celebrated with the iMentor community. The Gala was an once-in-a-lifetime experience for our pairs. Our mentees got to meet celebrity guests, be photographed on the orange carpet, join Wyclef Jean onstage and—most importantly—reflect on their relationships with their mentors.
Marvin, a mentor, summed up his experiences in an email to our staff:
Thank you for inviting Brian [mentee] and me to the iMentor Gala. I had a great time, and I know Brian did as well. The whole night was grander than I think anyone could have ever expected. The stories of mentor-mentee relationships and those about the growth of the program over the last 10 years were really inspiring.
