The success of iMentor’s mentor-mentee matches is directly dependent on the strength of our volunteers. iMentor is seeking a dynamic individual for a new staff position, Volunteer Coordinator (VC), to prepare and provide support to the 1,000 mentors serving our youth in 2008-09.The VC will support the Director of Volunteers in coordinating all aspects of the volunteer experience for iMentor.
Reporting to the Director of Volunteers, the Volunteer Coordinator will have the opportunity to make a major and lasting impact on our organization. iMentor seeks a dynamic individual with initiative, enthusiasm, and a demonstrated commitment to youth development. This is a full-time position, available immediately. Working closely with the Director of Volunteers, the VC will be focused on meeting 2008-09 goals for recruiting, screening, training, and supporting incoming and re-enrolling mentors.

Reporting to the Managing Director of Development, the Development Manager will be responsible for a variety of written materials emanating from iMentor with a primary focus on grant writing to solicit private and corporate foundations. Secondarily, the Development Manager will be responsible for launching iMentor's public funding campaign, assisting with iMentor's annual newsletter, and generating content for other fundraising materials. iMentor is supported by some of New York City's leading foundation and corporate supporters and will expand its fundraising strategy to cultivate high profile national funders. iMentor is a fast-growing, $2 million national nonprofit preparing to increase its fundraising efforts by 25% each year over the next five years.

iMentor’s core mission--to improve the lives of young people from underserved areas of New York City through innovative, technology-based approaches to youth mentoring and education--is directly dependent on the strength of the mentor-mentee relationships and engagement of all participants. iMentor seeks a Program Coordinator (PC) to oversee all aspects of mentor-mentee pair management to assure that each pair develops the strongest possible relationship. The Program Coordinator is the “face of iMentor” who works closely with teachers, mentors, and mentees in order to match pairs, lead the weekly iMentor class, plan and staff mentor-mentee events, and provide participants with regular updates. Each PC is assigned 1-2 schools where he or she oversees all mentor-mentee relationships, works collaboratively with teachers and administration, and ensures that participants have meaningful experiences with iMentor.

iMentor Interactive Program Coordinator iMentor is seeking a talented and driven individual for a key staff position, iMentor Interactive Program Coordinator (PC). Reporting directly to the iMentor Interactive Director of Partnerships, the PC is responsible for supporting the growth and development of iMi, including training, technical and administrative support. The PC will support the Partnership Manager in the successful on boarding of new member organizations, provide orientation and training to member organizations, resolving and track all partner-reported technological issues, questions, and concerns. The PC will also provide support to the iMi Partnership Manager with research and data entry. By creating systems and providing fundamental input and support, the iMi PC will be critical to the success of iMi.
Successful candidates will be highly organized and process oriented, possess the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of contacts with varying degrees of technological understanding. Flexibility will also be a key requirement for this position as iMi will continue to grow and change.
